The Cleveland Cavaliers have their second leg of their home-and-home with the Boston Celtics this preseason, and there will be more fun individual matchups to watch this time.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have appeared to have a very good training camp. There’s plenty of intrigue heading into the 2018-19 regular reason involving the team’s adjustment to pushing the pace, and the regular rotation will be much younger.
In Cleveland’s first preseason game, they had a nice road win at the Boston Celtics 102-95. That was encouraging to see from a fan’s perspective, and it’s clear that this team is always going to play really hard no matter the circumstances.
That mindset is paramount to Cleveland and head coach Tyronn Lue maximizing their win total. Last season, they managed to grab 50 wins, but this is a different season (you know why). Even with the first game being just preseason action, it still matters for the psyche of this team.
Cleveland’s got a solid mix of veterans and young pieces for Lue to mix and match throughout games. Kevin Love looked outstanding with 17 points in 17 minutes Tuesday night, and the ball will go through him first every night. Going into this game, though, the leaders will be much different.
As the saying goes, “Next man up,” then right, right? It is preseason basketball, and the Cavaliers still have to work the kinks out when it comes to their potential regular season rotation.
Moving on, let’s take a look at the storylines on the perimeter to look forward to between the Cavs and C’s tonight.
