Celtics’ Gordon Hayward throws down a dunk in transition

It looks like Boston Celtics star Gordon Hayward is starting to round into midseason form after making his way back from the gruesome injury which he suffered in the opening game of the 2017-18 campaign which cost him his entire first season with the Green and White.

While there is plenty of basketball left to be played before a winner is decided this evening, Hayward showed that he is beginning to feel more and more comfortable with his own body after his injury as, for the second straight game, we saw the former All-Star rise up off of the hardwood and throw down a slam dunk.

Obviously, these sort of plays are fairly run of the mill when it comes to what fans see from the NBA night in and night out but given everything that Hayward has been forced to go through since his graphic injury against the Cleveland Cavaliers this past season the fact that he is beginning to get back to being his old self is as encouraging of a sign as Celtics fans could possibly ask for.
