Boston Celtics star Kyrie Irving often gives his shoes to children in the front row after games — a tradition that clearly means a lot to the kid who gets an awesome (albeit sweaty) souvenir.
On Friday, after the Celtics put together an impressive second-half rally to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 101-95, Irving saw a familiar face as he exited the floor: Uncle Drew, his Hollywood alter-ego. A kid by the tunnel had donned full Uncle Drew makeup and hair prior to the game and was standing by the tunnel.
Sometimes, it might be hard to decide which young fan gets lucky, but this time, the choice appeared pretty clear. Irving stopped and removed his shoes, handing them to the kid.

Irving and the Celtics repeatedly talked after the game about having more fun as a team and how they succeeded when they started smiling a little more.
Giving shoes to kids in Uncle Drew makeup probably won’t affect the team’s win-loss record one way or the other. But it is pretty fun.
