The Golden State Warriors stand atop the NBA Power rankings through three weeks, while the Boston Celtics are falling as they cannot find their offense.
Through three weeks of play, the NBA season has had its share of ups and downs.
The Detroit Pistons started 4-0, then lost their last 5 games. The Oklahoma City Thunder started 0-4, then won their next 5 games.
After beating the Boston Celtics on Monday, the Denver Nuggets look like a true contender standing at 9-1, tying their best start in franchise history. Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors are 10-1 and looking like they might accidentally set the single-season record for wins.
Four players–Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin, Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry–have already had 50 point games and Jamal Murray (48 points) almost got beat up after gunning for 50 at the buzzer of a game that was already in hand.
Teams are hoisting three-pointers at an astronomical rate and the pace of play is faster than it has been in years. This all makes for a lot of fun basketball and runs and streaks like we are not used to seeing.
These rankings are bound to get scrambled like your morning eggs in the upcoming weeks, but for now, here they are.
